Where Will Charter Take You?

At RAI, we never know where we’ll go next. Recently it was to Brazil where our clients enjoyed a successful fishing trip on an Amazon tributary. International trips pose the challenge of avoiding restricted air space (in this case, Venezuela) but it’s rewarding to be part of our clients’ special moments. Thinking of an amazing adventure? We can take you there. See you in the skies!

NBAA Conference: An Eye on 2020

RAI was in attendance at the recent NBAA (National Business Aviation Association) Conference in Las Vegas. We were glad to connect with other operators and see how the industry is thriving. One of the biggest issues of concern is the introduction of NextGen air traffic modernization and the FAA mandate for ADS-B, or Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast, which requires aircraft to be equipped with a Mode C transponder (GPS) by Jan. 1, 2020. The change is burdensome for recreational aircraft owners but will improve safety and traffic management. There was also time for a little fun too. We look forward to next year.

Stryker Safety Seminar Demonstrates Importance of Training

RAI was present at the annual safety seminar held by Stryker last month, along with a packed house of engaged and proactive aviation professionals. We discussed the latest developments in aviation safety, and also heard from a member of the US Airways 1549 flight crew (the Sullenberg flight) who expressed the importance of repetitive training. In the midst of the emergency, her extensive training kicked in and she operated calmly and automatically to help passengers to safety. It was a good reminder that safety drills are invaluable.

Citation X Goes Online!

We’re excited to announce that by the end of 2017, our Citation X will be fully equipped with high-speed, mobile wireless broadband WiFi! Even though passengers reach their destination quicker than ever at Citation X’s record-breaking 460 knot speed, they will soon be able to do it while surfing the net. Installation is expected to complete in November.
